From an early age I have been interested in drawing and painting, however, it was not until 2005 when my work commitments changed that I had the time to devote more time to art.
22 years ago I purchased an easel from a work office sale knowing at the time "one day i will use that". That easel has travelled with me all through my life up until 5 years ago when I dusted it down and started putting it to good use.
My interest in art has created this new and exciting journey in my life, which is full of challenges and exciting opportunities.
Studying art has enabled me to meet so many wonderful and talented people. I am constantly learning whilst all along experimenting with different mediums, developing my own style and technique.
I enjoy working with Acrylics. I enjoy the suprises and fluidity of watercolour and the control of oil. I also enjoy experimenting with mixed media and the textures and spontaneity this type of art can create. I prefer to use photographs I have taken from places I have been to as a reference for my paintings.
I have been a member of the Ringwood Art Society for over 12 months now and am thoroughly enjoying my time with the society.
